Russian Legion Shocker

Russian Legion Nxt Shocker

Today I’m reviewing one of the newest things from our good ol’ buddies at Smart Parts. Now you can shoot the same gun as your favorite team, the one and only Russian Legion Shocker. The first thing you’ll notice when you look at this gun is possibly the sweetest body and frame on the market. Both have a 3D milling design only available on this gun. The next thing you’ll notice is the new signature Hi-flow Nxt regulator. This thing will you maximum velocity and efficiency. The new grip frame was a big plus for me. Now you have a built in snatch grip. This is a huge help when you’re just packing you’re gun around or you have paint on your hands. More so than the snatch grip, the new trigger guard really impressed me. There wasn’t the slightest bit of hindrance when you fire this gun. You also won’t be disappointed with the stock on/off. It goes fantastic with the look of the gun.

There’s also some stuff you get with the Russian Legion Shocker that you can’t find in other Shockers other than the body and grip frame. I shot the black and red version of the gun. This version came with a sick inverted black and red freak barrel which only be purchased with the Russian Legion Shockers. Another added treat to the Russian Legion package is the ‘4 point Russian Legion roller bearing adjustable trigger’. This trigger feels fantastic and can be adjusted to suit anyone, and I literally mean anyone. Also, all alterations can be made externally, no disassembly required.

Now, that I’ve described all the boring tech stuff, it’s time for me to describe this from a player’s stand point. When I first saw this gun, I nearly fainted. It looks all out sick. I said, “I gotta get me one of those!” to one of my buddies. So, being the paintball addict that I am, I bought it without a question, which was a mistake but read on. As soon as I got home I sat and looked the entire gun over. I ran over ever single aspect of it, with nothing to my displeasure. The next day I was able to go to the field to try this bad boy out. Everyone saw my new beauty and was amazed, the gun gives you this real intimidation factor. I started shooting off the break and didn’t really get the performance I’ve come to expect from private label guns, (later to my displeasure I will come to find that under the hood of this beast is…..A NERVE BOARD!!!). I really find myself to be a Smart Parts aficionado, and my old Dynasty Nxt can run circles around this thing. The gun looks fantastic but shoots like its 700 dollar little brother. That wasn’t the only problem I had with the gun, when I got home, and I proceeded to clean my gear, I realized that there was paint all through the body. To my despair, even though it is easier to disassemble than an Ion, its still a hassle to have to take it apart to clean.

My conclusion is that if you have a handy $1000 laying around and you’re on the market for a high end gun, buy the Dynasty Shocker instead. For the price, the Dynasty is a far better buy, especially with its included Dynasty team board. If you do however, decide to purchase the Russian Legion Shocker, I would also opt for a Blackheart board made by Smart Parts.
