2005 Smart Parts Shocker

Review

In 2005 Smart Parts made a few changes to the Shocker since 2003. They threw in a nerve board, they flipped the micro switch, changed the solenoid from a parker to a humphrey, and added a gauge onto the ASA.

The spool-valved Shocker comes stock with bounce beam eyes, nerve board, max flow regulator, All American barrel, 3 way adjustable magnetic polarity trigger, and smart parts grips.

Review:
I bought my gun in February this year. This was my first high end gun ever. I have played nearly every weekend since i got it. I had only minor problems with it. Those problems were fixed with new o rings and the most severe was a defective stock bolt (replaced for free). Other than that it shot amazing. I could go to the field and know my gun would work. So anyway, the first time playing with it i took out 3 people with it. My Shocker can easily reach 25 bps fully cycling. It weighs an amazing 1lb 14oz.

Strengths: Light, low profile, fast, ball on ball accuracy, quiet, easy on brittle paint, quiet, easy to maintain (lube)

Weaknesses: First shot drop off, inefficiency, cheap aluminum.

Recommended Upgrades: A clamping feed neck a high efficiency bolt, and new on off are highest in priority for upgrades. The shocker has many aftermarket parts to choose from, so if you’re not satisfied with your stock shocker, you can change whatever flaw you feel you need to change.

Conclusion: The 2005 Smart Parts Shocker is an amazing gun for the price. If you have the money i would say get a PM6 (Proto Matrix) or any Dye Matrix besides DM4. But the smart parts shocker gives you the biggest bang for your buck.
