On my three hour drive up to Michigan last night, I was pondering over the existence of the Autococker paintball guns. It seems as if they are a dying breed. Worr Game Products doesn’t seem to be caring too much about their reputation. Their forums are down and they don’t seem to be making much progress with their line of paintball guns. I would not be surprised at all if they are blown out of the market within a year or two, the way they market.

Autocockers were a good run, but their accuracy was only dependent upon hours of maintenance and perfect timing.

Celebrate Tippmann’s 20th anniversary by letting them rip you off!

So I was browsing Tippmann’s website today, and fell upon a special note that they’re celebrating their 20th anniversary in the paintball industry. Because of this, Tippmann has come out with a *cough* “Anniversary paintball gun”. It looks awfully familiar to the Tippmann 98 Custom. I am in no way bashing Tippmann for celebrating their 20 years of glory. It just doesn’t seem to sit well that all they’re doing is slapping a few decals on the 98 custom, numbering them, and increasing the price by over 200%.

Oh well.

To commemorate 20 years in the paintball industry, Tippmann is offering a collectors edition marker. Only 3,000 of the Tippmann 20th anniversary marker will be made. The 20th anniversary marker features a special mirror black finish, gold plated hardware, 20th anniversary commemorative logo a powder coated metal display stand, and a certificate of authenticity. The NPPL Super 7 World Series is holding their San Diego paintball tournament event tomorrow, September 8th and runs through the 10th. The event will be held at Qualcomm Stadium, where the San Diego Chargers play. PaintballLive.tv is offering a live webcam viewing of the event for $9.95, or $6.95 for only sunday, when the finals take place. The webcam cameras will not only be on the field, but they will also show the sideline action with announcer’s commentary. On top of that, there are multiple camera angles and slow motion replays. They will also throw in a highlight video from the Boston event.
