Dye DM8

Dye DM8 Paintball Gun

The Dye Matrix 2008 is one of the leading paintball guns on the market today. Dye has made this marker specifically for “high end” players. If you play speedball or tournament paintball, this gun was literally made for you. Its steep price tag backs up its performance – you will be paying for what you get. The DM8’s performance level can compete with all other high-end paintball markers of 2008. On top of that, Dye’s warranty service is solid if you do ever experience problems. If you ever have any problems with your paintball gun, the fellas over at Dye will be sure to take care of you. Of course I cannot speak directly for them, all I can say is that in my experience of owning my Dye Matrix and SLG, Dye has always been there to support their customers.

“New for 2008, the DM8 has a host of features, updates, and refinements. We have utilized our resources of professional players, designers, and engineers to come up with the best marker yet in the DM series. The DM8 continues the tradition of being one of the lightest, smallest, fastest and certainly the most accurate of paintball markers in the world. To improve on an already reliable design, the DM8 has no eyeplates. This is possible with the new internal patent-pending Eye Pipe anti-chop sensing system. This new design eliminates the need for eyeplates and allows us to reduce the width of the marker body, ultimately reducing the weight by 1.5oz. The new micro LPR has been reduced in size and now provides more efficient shot consistency. On top of this, we are introducing the all new Hyper3 regulator. The Hyper3 is now smaller, more consistent, and more precisely adjustable allowing you to set your pressure in finer increments. All of these innovations, coupled with new 3D body styling, standard features like the patent pending Ultralite frame and 2 piece barrel, give perfection a new meaning”. DyePrecision.com

Dye DM7

Dye DM7

  • The Dye DM7 will be smaller and lighter than the DM6 and DM5. Surprise surprise. Soon they’ll end up looking like toothpicks
  • Comes standard with an UltraLite frame – Good deal
  • The Dye DM7 will have an On/off ASA coming with it, stock
  • The LPR on the DM7 will be shorter, but the operating pressure and gas efficiency will most likely be the same. A little lower operating pressure.
  • Weight: The Dye DM7 will be about 3.5 ounces less than the Dye DM6
  • New Milling
  • 1/8″ shorter
  • Improved Self-Cleaning eye approach. Cleans after 1 shot compared to 3 shots in the DM6.
  • New locking no rise Feed neck
  • Eye Covers

There won’t be too much different internally with the DM7 compared to the DM6. The milling will obviously be different with a few cosmetic changes of course.
